Small shrub with purple-rose flowers in hanging clusters. Thorn-free stems. Hardy, highly productive variety. Blooms in the spring and ripens in the fall. The 10-12 mm berries are fleshy with colours ranging from red to blue-tinged to black. Depending on the species, they can be sweet, juicy, or dry and tasteless. The berries contain high amounts of vitamin C and potassium. Full sun or light shade, zone 2. Cross pollinizing is not necessary, but can lead to markedly higher yields.
